There is no doubt that the “Border Crisis” is real, and there is no doubt as to several of the causes. Money from George Soros and his ilk is financing some of the caravans moving on our borders. Thousands are getting across every day that are not apprehended, as our Border Patrol is overwhelmed with numbers. They are letting many of them go, with a paper request that they come back and be processed later! Here are a few steps that could easily bring this crisis to a halt. (I’m not saying they would be easy...

“The Homeless” in America are a manufactured problem. It has been created by the Welfare State, and is nothing less than the fruit of Socialism. For half a century, Americans have been able to walk into a government office and plead poverty and start receiving benefit cheques. There is a whole menu of programs, from welfare to unemployment to housing to food to medicine, etc. I will lump them all together in “Welfare” and save us both some time. When you stop and think about it, if a person is on welfare, ...

In 1787 our Founding Fathers held a Constitutional Convention in which they designed a constitution and presented it to the States for adoption. Several States made it clear that they would not even debate the question without some restrictions placed upon the proposed Federal government. A total of 39 proposed amendments were debated. Some were rejected, other combined and massaged until they were reduced in number, and from that came a proposed Bill of Rights, containing twelve Articles of Amendment. By 1790, ten of those Amendments...

Shortcut: “YES on 3, 7” “NO on 1, 2, 4, 5, 6” Here is the official wording of the proposed amendments: https://ballotpedia.org/Texas_2017_ballot_measures If you can read the ballot with understanding, “… you’re a better man than I am, Gunga Din.” We have always suspected that the wording is deliberately designed so that the average voter cannot understand it. So… when you don’t understand something, ALWAYS vote NO!! Here are our recommendations. 1. NO Authorizes tax exemption for property of partially...

The Constitution, we are told, is the Supreme Law of the Land. Every elected official takes an oath to support and defend that Constitution, “against all enemies, foreign or domestic.” What do you think are the odds that your elected or appointed representatives have even read the Constitution, one time? Ever? What do you think are the odds that your elected or appointed representatives have ever attended a seminar or a course on the subject of what that document says and meant at the time it was written? “Our Constitution...

Robert Lee lost something in Virginia — and 152 years later, another Robert Lee did, too. The living Robert Lee, an ESPN broadcaster, was pulled from calling the University of Virginia home opener against William and Mary on Sept. 2 because he shares a name with the Confederate general at the center of unrest in Charlottesville. “We collectively made the decision with Robert to switch games as the tragic events in Charlottesville were unfolding, simply because of the coincidence of his name,” Derek Volner, an ESPN spokesman, told The...

There are very few exceptions to the fact that the soldier is a pawn in a deadly game. He never joins with a view in mind of dying – he figures that happens to someone else. The winners write the history books, so as long as we are winning, and those who died are heroes in our textbooks. We would do well to remember, in this 21st Century era of Political Correctness, that there has been one war in our history where both sides were Americans. Every Confederate soldier who died of wounds, or even more who died of disease in uniform, were...

Listening to a lecture recently by Dr. Will Morrisey of Hillsdale College, I heard that the American progressivism movement grew out of something called The German State Theory. The theory was initially published in 1875 by a Swiss jurist named Johann Kasper Bluntschli, and was adopted by the German education community. According to Dr. Morrisey, numerous American scholars went to Germany in the late 19th century for advanced study. Some bought into the theory, which held that governments evolve, and presumably mature with age. Because Germany...
