The headline, \u201cWest mourns Gorbachev as peace champion,\u201d helps explain why the West, led by the United States, is collapsing, and why the Communist world, including \u201cpost-Soviet\u201d Russia, is coming out on top.<\/p>\n
Even some conservatives have been fooled. On the Real America\u2019s Voice channel, we saw the headline: \u201cGorbachev\u2019s quest to save communism ended it.\u201d<\/p>\n
This is pure communist disinformation.<\/p>\n
Those who insist that\u00a0\u201cPutin is Russia\u2019s Anti-Gorbachev\u201d\u00a0<\/a>are missing the basic point that Putin\u2019s policies logically followed those of Gorbachev and that Gorbachev personally endorsed Putin\u2019s policies.<\/p>\n We need to go back in history, to the point when a defector from the KGB, Anatoliy Golitsyn, had exposed the Soviet\/Russian plan to dominate the world through propaganda and disinformation. His charges were ridiculed as a fantastic \u201cMonster Plot\u201d by top CIA officials, who thought the Russian communists were incapable of planning and carrying out such a plan.<\/p>\n As I recounted in the America\u2019s Survival book,\u00a0Back from the Dead: The Return of the Evil Empire<\/a><\/em>, a former government official told me what happened when Golitsyn had defected in 1961 and was brought into a room to be debriefed. \u201cHe looked around and realized that half the CIA operatives in front of him were KGB double agents whose reports he had read on the other side,\u201d the former official told me.<\/p>\n Soviet\/Russian moles in the CIA and FBI have included Aldrich Ames, Harold Nicholson, and Robert Hanssen, a top FBI counterintelligence official who had access to very sensitive information, including the identities of Russians who were spying for us. The information Hanssen gave the Russians deprived the CIA of valuable intelligence sources. They were executed.<\/strong><\/p>\n As Russia-gate shows, attempts at internal reform of the FBI and CIA have been largely unsuccessful.<\/p>\n But Russia-gate is only one example of how the Russians used the intelligence agencies to influence policy. Another that is still ongoing was discussed in anti-communist analyst Natalie Grant\u2019s 1998 article on \u201cEnviro-Communism,\u201d where she explained how\u00a0a Soviet deception campaign<\/a>, using the climate as an organizing tool, was launched after the so-called collapse of the Soviet state. That\u2019s when Mikhail Gorbachev, the last Soviet president, embarked on an environmental crusade, using the United Nations and other international organizations, such as the State of the World Forum, Green Cross, and the Temple of Understanding.<\/p>\n The collusion also included the Earth Summit of 1992, giving rise to the concept of \u201csustainable development,\u201d another way to describe socialism. An Earth Charter was initiated, calling for the protection of \u201cMother Earth.\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n One of the key American participants was Al Gore, who, as a member of the U.S. Senate, participated in the Earth Summit. Gore wrote openly about the Earth having sacred qualities and praised primitive pagan religions and goddess worship.<\/p>\n Obama\u2019s Paris climate change agreement, which was openly designed to curtail U.S. industrial expansion, was a Marxist plan that benefited Russia, a major oil and gas producer. Biden\u2019s \u201cgreen energy\u201d policies, as contained in the so-called Inflation Reduction Act, have continued this trend.<\/p>\n Not to be outdone, Pope Francis lectures the world on the need for a \u201cCollective Answer\u201d to global warming and the evils of capitalism.<\/strong><\/p>\n At the time of the Soviet collapse, including the fall of the Berlin Wall, some Reagan officials understood what was truly happening. In a November 24, 1987,\u00a0memorandum<\/a>\u00a0written by Robert M. Gates entitled, \u201cGorbachev\u2019s Gameplan: The Long View,\u201d Gates, then Deputy Director of the CIA, said the Soviet \u201creforms\u201d were a \u201cbreathing space\u201d before the resumption of the \u201cfurther increase in Soviet military power and political influence.\u201d<\/p>\n By his own admission, perestroika wasn\u2019t designed to undermine \u201csocialism.\u201d In the 1987 book,\u00a0Perestroika: New Thinking for Our Country and the World, New York: Harper & Row,\u00a0<\/em>Gorbachev wrote, \u201cThere is the view that it has been necessitated by the disastrous state of the Soviet economy and that it signifies disenchantment with socialism and a crisis for its ideals and ultimate goals. Nothing could be further from the truth\u2026\u201d<\/p>\n There is also this quote from his speech, \u201cOctober and Perestroika: The Revolution Continues,\u201d November 2, 1987:<\/p>\n \u201cIn October 1917 we parted with the old world, rejecting it once and for all. We are moving towards a new world, the world of Communism. We shall never turn off that road!\u201d<\/p>\n In my book,\u00a0The Sword of Revolution and The Communist Apocalypse<\/a><\/em>, I take strong issue with those who have mistakenly assumed that the demise of the USSR meant the end of Soviet-style communism.<\/p>\n Soviet President Mikhail Gorbachev, in his 1987 book,\u00a0Perestroika<\/em>, explained what was coming to pass, if one understood Marxist dialectics.<\/p>\n He wrote:<\/p>\n \u201cThe Leninist period is indeed very important. It is instructive in that it proved the strength of Marxist-Leninist dialectics, the conclusions of which are based on an analysis of the actual historical situation. The works of Lenin and his ideals of socialism remained for us an inexhaustible source of dialectical creative thought, theoretical wealth and political sagacity.\u201d<\/p>\n A former intelligence official explained in an interview that the \u201cway in which they [the Communists] develop the struggle, internationally\u201d can change because the \u201cconditions\u201d in the world change. Hence, new victims and \u201crights\u201d can emerge at any time.<\/strong><\/p>\n Globally, the \u201cconditions\u201d help explain China going through a capitalist stage and Russia officially dropping the Soviet label. But the idea that the communists have given up Marxism-Leninism is \u201cerroneous,\u201d this former official said. The goal is still world communism, with global environmentalism the latest phase in this historical process, designed to confuse people about the ultimate goal.<\/p>\n In other words, the intention was to restructure and reorganize within the communist system. Perestroika was the \u201cnegation of the negation\u201d in dialectical terms.<\/p>\n Gorbachev cited two of the successful dialectical maneuvers of Lenin, The Brest-Litoysk Treaty with Germany in 1917, and the New Economic Policy of 1921. He said these decisions meant that Lenin was \u201cguided by vital, not immediate, interests, the interests of the working class as a whole, of the Revolution and the future of socialism.\u201d<\/p>\n The former intelligence official told us that \u201cperestroika\u201d was \u201cdesigned to accomplish a reorganization within the Soviet Union, in order to strengthen the position of the party and position within the World Communist Movement.\u201d The problem for the Soviets, he said, was that Gorbachev \u201cchose political organization over economic reorganization,\u201d and certain changes did not go as planned. As a result, the Soviet Union as an entity did go out of business and had to be reconstituted.<\/strong><\/p>\n Russian leader Vladimir Putin does not use the term \u201cworld communism\u201d these days but there can be no doubt that Putin, trained in Marxism-Leninism by the KGB, understands where the world is heading and what he is doing. Our book,\u00a0Back from the Dead: The Return of the Evil Empire<\/a><\/em>, examines how the remnants of Soviet communism are being preserved, even celebrated, in modern-day Russia.<\/p>\n Gorbachev was fooling the West with Glasnost and Perestroika while pursuing the goal of world communism with the support of \u201csocialists\u201d in the West, led by the Democratic Party in the United States and elements of the Republican Party. The latter included\u00a0an award<\/a>\u00a0to Gorbachev from the George Bush Presidential Library.<\/p>\n Biden\u2019s no-win war against the Russians in Ukraine, following his approval of a Russian gas pipeline to Germany, has given Putin even more power over European gas supplies. Perhaps that was the objective all along. \u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n Remember that German Chancellor Angela Merkel,\u00a0a suspected Russian agent<\/a>, had made Germany more dependent on Russian oil and gas by terminating Germany\u2019s nuclear energy program.<\/p>\n Also remember that Putin was a young KGB agent in East Germany, where Merkel grew up and became a propaganda specialist for the communists.<\/p>\n The “Monster Plot seems to be working.
